Arak are traditionally served with a small plate of a variety of appetizers called mezes, usually small fresh fish, fries, olives and feta cheese. Ouzo can be described to have a similar taste to absinthe which is liquorice-like, but smoother. -

Arak El Massaya in Lebanon, the fermented juice of native white grapes is triple-distilled in a traditional pot still. On the third still run, the spirit is infused with fresh, organic green anise seeds from Mount Hermon. Aging in clay jars for 6 months.
